Looking for something to read?

I really should be finishing up this essay, but fuck it. So, check it out, my buddy Nick, over at Kickittwice (i've never been able to figure out that name!) brought his sexy new camera to Montreal on his trip and got some great shots. He documented the whole trip really well and i've been back looking it over a few times now. The shots turned out great and its clear he's put alot of work in, so check it out, its better than any of the updates on my blog right now, for real.

Sham-Wow guy gets in fight with hooker

MARCH 27--Meet Vince Shlomi. He's probably better known to you as the ShamWow Guy, the ubiquitous television pitchman who has been phenomenally successful peddling absorbent towels and food choppers. Shlomi, 44, was arrested last month on a felony battery charge following a violent confrontation with a prostitute in his South Beach hotel room. According to an arrest affidavit, Shlomi met Sasha Harris, 26, at a Miami Beach nightclub on February 7 and subsequently retired with her to his $750 room at the lavish Setai hotel. Shlomi told cops he paid Harris about $1000 in cash after she "propositioned him for straight sex." Shlomi said that when he kissed Harris, she suddenly "bit his tongue and would not let go." Shlomi then punched Harris several times until she released his tongue. The affidavit, a copy of which you'll find here, notes that during the 4 AM fight Harris sustained facial fractures and lacerations all over her face (she is pictured here in mug shots snapped following busts in 2008 and 2005). After freeing his tongue, a bleeding Shlomi ran to the Setai lobby, where security summoned cops. Harris refused to cooperate with officers, who recovered $930 from her purse. "Both parties had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their persons," police reported. In a brief telephone interview, Harris declined to answer TSG questions about her run-in with Shlomi, though she did say she is considering a lawsuit against the pitchman. Asked if she worked as a hooker, Harris declined comment. As seen in the below mug shot, Shlomi was also injured during the fracas and, court records show, was treated at Mount Sinai Medical Center. While Shlomi and Harris were both arrested for felony aggravated battery, prosecutors this month declined to file formal charges against the combatants. Police records list Shlomi's occupation as "Marketing," but make no mention of his affiliation with the ShamWow or the Slap Chop, both of which sell for $19.95 (plus shipping and handling).

Tat-Tat-Tatted up!

Today at around 5pm, my boy Andrew (better known as Choe) got some ink work done today. The shitty thing is, I wanted to be there when he got it done, but due to a coin toss I had to stay around my school and do some stupid mock trial shit. Although it wasn't me that got it, it's still a big deal for me, and I really think it turned out sick. Although, when I first gave Tolga a call, the story I got was "yo choe was crying like a bitch and couldnt handle the pain so he passed out, and the artist only got to write 'dic' on his arm". I didn't know whither to feel sad, or laugh at the fact that my friend had to potentially walk around with "dic" on his arm until the next session.

One of the reasons why I really like this thing is because I realized the irony in the tattoo itself. What I mean is, I realized that the word nomadic means always moving, never permanent etc, and having a word with that connotation permanently placed somewhere is kinda ironic, i guess. I dunno. Its late. Watch this.

Two things

I'm not separating these, although they are completely unrelated.

First off, after a year of anticipation, the Yeezy's are finally starting to drop. A few pairs have already been sent out to friends and family of Mr. West. Personally, I'm indifferent to them, but I know that alot of people are feeling these. I just feel that there's different shoe's that I'd prefer to spend $300 on. Maybe I'd even splurge for the shoes that he did for LV, but i don't think these are that spectacular.

Secondly, the thing I'm actually excited about, is the Where The Wild Things Are upcoming movie, and the trailer was just released. It looks great so far, maybe it'll actually do the book some justice.
