I just got the word from The Hundreds that Lupe is doing the rumored "“REMEMBER TO SMILE: A Retrospective of Lupe,” show that seriously makes me want to get to Chicago in time to see it.

It’s basically a one-man show where Lu expounds about politics, religion, and other topics surrounding his life, spliced up with performances of songs he’s never done live before. He’s bringing back old mixtape tracks, B-sides, and other rarities that explain the rapper’s story from then ’til now. It’s gonna be quite the treat for the dedicated Lupe fan, and for now, this is the first and last time he’s gonna do it.

Keep getting to slammed for not switching off the mains or unplugging your gadgets? It’s not that people are reckless or unconcerned about the environment, but sometimes simple and easy things like this becomes too much of an effort. I hate posting a bunch of youtube vids in a row, but honesty I'm loving this song lately. Its alot more heartfelt than anything I've heard from Diplomats before which is weird. Its fantastic. I've never heard Cam or Juelz talk about crying before haha...

So recently I heard the song "Misunderstood" by The Animals and realized that there's alot of artists that have covered this tune. As far as I'm concerned The Animals do it best, but I'll let you decide out of the three which you like. I think that this song is genius because it seems like it can be sung to any genre or style. For example, Lil' Wayne used it in a chorus, but Santa Esmeralda also turned it into a disco/dance track.

I lol'd.

I just think that the photography that honeyee did for Visvim for this issue is absolutely beautiful. Visvim shoes look great as is, but these just make them look spectacular.

The November 2009 issue of Vogue Paris contains an amazing photoshoot titled “Graffi-Couture” featuring the beautiful model Raquel Zimmermann. Styled by Vogue’s Emmanuelle Alt and shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti, the photoshoot has also been decorated by artwork from New York based artist KAWS.

A living legend, Futura 2000 recently opened up his latest exposition in association with France’s FIAC 2009. The showcase at the Mezzanine Special School of Architecture features a series of works over the last 28 years from 1980-2008, all showcased on behalf of private collector Patrick Larouge. The exhibition offers an interesting look over an extensive period of time from one of the visual art world’s most respected writers. The short exhibition will conclude on Saturday, October 24th.
